Water, the source of all life, profoundly affects us. The SouthCoast and its inhabitants in particular have a significant relationship with the sea. This course, open to all teachers, invites participants to explore our inner sacred connection to water through art making and creative writing towards developing a sense of appreciation of and honor for the fundamental role of water to us as individuals and as a coastal region. Each participant will develop a body of writing and works of art towards understanding the potential of hands-on creative and reflective practices for the classroom as we examine the human/nature connection. Participants need not have previous art experience. Selected art supplies will be provided for each participant.
